Here are a few travel tips I have picked up over the years which I would like to share with you all.
Travel insurance
Many people buy separate insurance for every holiday they take. Nowadays the airlines or package holiday company will give you an option to add this on as an extra. Don’t do it! The best way way to get insurance is by buying an annual multi-trip plan. This is extremely cheap and lasts for every holiday you take within a year. I personally use Sainsbury’s insurance as it was the cheapest last time I checked. I’ve never had to make a claim, but they allow you to customise the plan. For example add extra coverage for expensive items or adventure sports. I’ve paid as little as £12 a year for this coverage which is a bargain.
Backpack or suitcase?
This is one of the most often asked questions on the major travel forums like Lonely Planet. Personally I use a Karrimor suitcase which has straps zipped away. This allows me to travel “normally” most of the time with wheels, but on those rare occasions when you do’t have a paved road it turns into a backpack. I bought mine maybe 8 years ago and it has lasted amazingly. I have been all around the world with it. The latest ones look different but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one again, see here.
Pack Light
This is so important especially for backpackers. My first round the world trip was dampened by the fact that I took a backpack which was far too big. This days I pack all I need into my compact Karrimor case. There are lots of ways to minimise space such as using the tiny dry quick travel towels. Take a Kindle instead of books. Just take mini toiletries and buy what you need when travelling.
Hi there guys. Do you remember in my last post when I mentioned something about me not feeling completely okay with my insurance policy? Well, I have some very bad news for you because as it turns out, I was right to have those suspicions about my insurance. Okay here is the thing, when I first signed up for my job I was told that we were all going to be given some insurance as part of our employee benefits. I was overjoyed when I was told that, but what I didn’t know was that something called PPI or Payment Protection Insurance, was added into my policy without me being aware of it.
been made a fool of by my own company. When I first found out about this a few days ago, I was completely shocked because I never thought that the company that I have been working with for many years would even think of pulling the wool over my eye like that. Well I am not going to allow them to do this to me any further because I plan on getting my money back.
I have already filed my PPI refund through
Hey there guys and gals of the WordPress world, my name is Luisa Hazley and I would like to officially welcome you all to my blog page. I am starting this blog because I felt a little bored and wanted to do something besides playing games on Facebook to spend my time away. I like to share my stories (except the personal ones) with people because I feel like they might be able to get something off of them that could help them out in life. I know it sounds weird, but that’s just how I feel about the whole thing.
